Barcode Parameters

Last updated: 04-Dec-2024

This table describes the required parameters used for Barcode.

Config.usr1/Parameter DLD Name Description Valid/Max Values Default Value Name in PropertiesData.xml
TRIGMODE This parameter is used to set the Trigger mode, using the given values.
  • 0 - Edge
  • 1 - Level
  • 2 - Soft
  • 3 - Passive
1 TRIGMODE
AUTOBEEP This parameter is used to set beep behaviour of the scanner. It controls whether the beep occurs after a valid scan, only an error, both scenarios, or not at all.
  • 0 - Disable
  • 1 - Scan only
  • 2 - Error only
  • 3 - Scans and errors will both produce beeps
0 AUTOBEEP
PICKLIST This parameter is used to enable or disable the picklist mode. Picklist mode is where the barcode reader decodes only barcodes that are aligned under the center of the aiming pattern.
  • 0 - Disable
  • 1 - Enable
0 PICKLIST
SESTIMEOUT
This parameter is used to set the time for the session timeout. Limitations: Times out the active session at the specified time. The timeout value range is 1 to 255 seconds in the below hex format. The maximum timeout value allowed in Continuous and Single Scan modes are 255 seconds and 10 seconds respectively.
  • 1 second = 0x01
  • 10 seconds = 0x0A
  • 255 seconds = 0xFF
Numeric 10000 milliseconds SESTIMEOUT
SAMSYMTO This parameter is used to set the time in milliseconds for same symbol scan timeout. Timeout range is 1000 - 255000 milliseconds. In Continuous mode, the maximum allowed timeout is 255000 milliseconds. In Single Scan Mode, the maximum allowed timeout value is 10000 milliseconds. Numeric 0.6 seconds SAMSYMTO
DIFSYMTO This parameter is used to set the time in milliseconds for different symbol scan timeout. While Continuous mode is enabled, this method needs to be used to prevent multiple reads of a symbol left in the decoder’s field of view. The timeout begins when a symbol is removed from the field of view. Numeric 0.2 seconds DIFSYMTO
CONMODE This parameter is used to enable or disable the continuous mode. Continuous mode is where the barcode laser scans continuously. Normally, the laser shuts off and the scanning session ends after one successful scan/decode. Continuous mode is enabled with any of the Trigger modes.
  • 0 - Disable
  • 1 - Enable
0 CONMODE
PHONDISMODE This parameter is used to enable or disable the phone and electronic display mode. This setting improves barcode reading performance with target barcodes displayed on mobile phones and electronic displays.
  • 0 - Disable
  • 1 - Enable
0 PHONDISMODE
DATATRNSMODE Changes the scan data format to have a custom prefix and/or suffix1 and/or suffix2 value.
  • 0 - Scan data
  • 1 - Suffix 1 added
  • 2 - Suffix 2 added
  • 3 - Suffix 1 and 2 added
  • 4 - Prefix added
  • 5 - Prefix and Suffix 1 added
  • 6 - Prefix and Suffix 2 added
  • 7 - Prefix and Suffix 1 and 2 added
0 DATATRNSMODE
AIMPATTERN This parameter is used to enable or disable the AIM pattern. When enabled, the dot pattern for the laser is used during barcode capture.
  • 0 - Disable
  • 1 - Enable
1 AIMPATTERN
UNIREPORT This parameter is used to enable or disable the report unique barcodes. While continuous mode is enabled, this setting to be used for only report unique barcodes during the scanning session.
  • 0 - Disable
  • 1 - Enable
0 UNIREPORT
ASYNCPOSSCAN This parameter is used to enable or disable the multi scan.
  • 0 - Disable
  • 1 - Enable
0 ASYNCPOSSCAN
DATAPRF Value of scan data prefix. This is used when scan data transmission format prefix + data is selected to set the prefix value.   13 DATAPRF
DATASUFX1 Value of scan data suffix 1. This is used when scan data transmission format data + suffix1 is selected to set the suffix1 value.   13 DATASUFX1
DATASUFX2 Value of scan data suffix 2. This is used when scan data transmission format data + suffix2 is selected to set the suffix1 value.   13 DATASUFX2
BCRESTOREDEFAULT This parameter is used to restore the default barcode configuration.   0 BCRESTOREDEFAULT
SETSYMBOLOGY This parameter is used to set symbology option.   0 SETSYMBOLOGY
DISPLAYSCANNINGUI This parameter is used to display the UI while scanning barcode on e280.
  • 0 - Disable
  • 1 - Enable
0 DISPLAYSCANNINGUI
