This section describes the details of the Barcode commands supported by Verifone SCA application. The supported device for Barcode commands are e280s, M440 and M424.
Rules
Barcode commands may be conducted outside a session.
BARCODESUPP parameter should be enabled to control Barcode support in SCA application. This parameter is required to enable for e280s, whereas in M400 and M440 (camera based devices) this parameter property gets updated to 1 (enable).
Note
e280s uses the barcode scanner, whereas M440 and M424 use camera as scanner.
e280s supports scanning in background, whereas, M440 and M424 can not have scanning in background, as these devices always display the camera preview (only UI based scanning).
