Verifone Release Notes for February 2024

Here is an overview of ecommerce, checkout, API, and Verifone Central items released in February 2024 in Demo and Production environments. (Note: The green checkmarks in the table below represent the live availability of the features listed in the Release Notes in EMEA, US, AU, NZ regions.)

New
You can now search transactions according to the Reporting Group filter (which groups various transactions according to a certain criterion, e.g., card brand, account type, etc.). This filter is available on request. See more in Transaction details fields.

A new mode of viewing Settlement Reports is now available in Verifone Central - Processor Settlements (displaying settlements according to processor-related configurations such as card brand, account type, etc.). This feature is available on request. See more in Settlement reports.

Merchants (resellers/partners/acquirers) are now able to white label the Default Checkout Theme. The white-labeled default checkout theme can be used for all the checkout pages unless replaced by a new Checkout Theme. See more in the Checkout Themes Editor documentation.
Enhancement
We expanded the payment modifications available for an ecommerce pre-authorization transaction by extending the expiration of a pre-authorization (in cases for delayed shipment of goods or an extended hotel stay). See more in the extend preauthorization endpoint from Ecommerce API.

Added the new surcharge_amount parameter to be passed in Ecommerce API. surcharge_amount is an optional additional amount representing the surcharge associated with a payment and it should be included in the total 'amount' of the transaction.

We adjusted the reuse_token minimum length from 16 digits to 14 digits. reuse_token is the identifier used to represent the Cardholder data and can be found in the response samples for Ecomm Payments, Transaction, and Token management sections in Ecommerce API.

We enhanced the logic for generating high-volume reports (exceeding 500.000 transactions) in Verifone Central. Find out more in the How to export a report documentation.

Improved the logic to display masked cards for ecommerce transactions through the masked_card_number parameter in Ecommerce API
Fixes
Fixed a defect in the checkout page causing a display issue of the card field frame in case of a multipayment with Google Pay on a mobile device.
Fixes
Fixed a defect in the checkout page (card payment) that caused a white patch to appear above the language selector dropdown.
