Verifone Release Notes for May 2023

Verifone Central's reporting capability now supports the delivery of reports to SFTP site. SFTP is a safe encrypted way of transferring files between two remote systems. To enable this feature via Verifone Central, please contact our Sales representatives. Read more in Report Scheduler. 

Now merchants are able to export more than 10.000 transactions into a CSV file generated via Verifone Central from the Transaction reporting page without any limitations of the export size. Read more details in Exporting Reports.

SVS giftcard provider for UK and US in-store transactions is now supported.

preauth_completion transaction type is now supported through eCom and Verifone Central (available for Woodforest acquirer). If a preauthorization is captured form a POS, a preauth_completion transaction is created.

Updated the Notification Payload Variables content from the Notifications section. Learn more on webhooks and Verifone Central notifications in the Notifications section.

Cashback amount, Gratuity amount and Charitable Donation fields were added to full CSV reports (available globally). The respective fields are used in advanced reporting options helping to summarize Electronic fund transfers (EFTs) and donations made with transactions. Added a new method to Verifone JS that enables the return of card BIN number (last four digits), and Expiration date fields when providing the encrypted credit card to the client for fraud screening purpose. Read more in Card encryption - verifone.js.

Added the new parameter hide_verifone_seal (boolean) in Theme API which shows/hides the Verifone seal "Secure payments provided by Verifone" from the Checkout theme. See more in Checkout API. 

Added new contacts for Poland on EMEA in the Help & Support page from Verifone Central (available for EMEA Production). See more in the Support page. 

Updated the restriction for "Allow unlinked refunds" & "Allow scheme tokenization" in the PPC page from Verifone Central. With this enhancement, the unmatched refunds feature becomes available also for the merchants that have Woodforest National Bank as acquirer.

Updated the Refunds section for Shopify. To correctly use the refund system from Shopify, you need to know what the settlement period of your transactions are. This settlement period is dependent on you acquirer. Reach out to your Verifone representative for more information.

Updated the Service Provider Simulator functionality. Simulator Payment Provider Contracts (PPCs) can now be configured to support unmatched refunds and network tokens so that merchants are able to test these functionalities in Sandbox environment (EMEA and US). Fixed a defect in Verifone Central Payments Portal that caused an unsuccessful response (404) when trying a login attempt in the Sign in page after a first expired session.

Fixed an issue that prevented the Verifone Checkout app from being installed from Shopify in certain conditions.

Removed Charge transaction for encrypted card payments from ecommerce API. 

Updated Klarna Norwegian incorrect language code. When the checkout language is set to Norwegian, the payment options now appear in the respective language.
