This section covers the maintenance function of the terminal.

Clear Batch

The Clear Batch allows the User to clear transactions in the batch manually without settlement.

Step Instruction Screen Information
1

Press enter_key key to confirm that batch is to be removed.

  • If batch exists, terminal proceeds to step 2.
  • If no batch exists, terminal proceeds step 3.
  • If cancel_key pressed, terminal goes to step 4.
  • If no selection made, terminal goes to step 5.
clear_batch
2 The current batch with all transactions The current batch with all transactions stored on the terminal has been deleted. Press enter_key key to confirm. batch_success
3 If there is no batch existing. Terminal displays the screen and proceeds to the initial Maintenance page. clear_batch_failed
4 If cancel_key key is pressed unintentionally at step 1. Terminal goes to the initial Maintenance page. clear_batch_abort
5 If no selection made after step 1. Terminal displays the screen and proceeds to the initial Maintenance page. clear_batch_operator_timeout

Clear Reversal

This menu item is used to clear reversal transactions from the batch.

Step Instruction Screen Information

Press enter_key key to confirm that reversal transactions are to be removed.
  • If reversal data exists, terminal proceeds to step 2.
  • If no reversal data exists, terminal proceeds step 3.
  • If cancel_key pressed, terminal goes to step 4.
  • If no selection made, terminal goes to step 5.

3 If there is no reversal data exists. Terminal displays the screen and proceeds to the initial Maintenance page. clear_reversal_failed
4 If cancel_key key is pressed unintentionally at step 1. Terminal goes to the initial Maintenance page. clear_reversal_abort
5 If no selection made after step 1. Terminal displays the screen and proceeds to the initial Maintenance page. clear_reversal_operator_timeout

Reset Terminal

This operation allows the User to reset the terminal, so that terminal will be set to default settings. It cannot be performed if the terminal is in Training mode or the batch is not empty.

During terminal reset all totals and terminal info will be erased. Press enter_key key to confirm.
  • If cancel_key pressed, terminal goes to step 3.
  • If no selection made, terminal goes to step 4.
