Media and Display Screens Specifications
This document is designed for delivering media content to Verifone devices using SCA application. This document also provides the pictorial illustration on the device set up, transaction flows and few device command screens. The details of the screen flows are categorized by grouping the devices with respect to features, screen type and resolution, type of network communication and usage of keypad.
The purpose of this document is to:
- Define media areas and specifications for the Engage and Neo series devices.
- Define means for delivering media content to Engage and Neo series devices.
- Details on device screens, categorized by grouping the devices with respect to features, screen type and resolution, type of network communication and usage of keypad.
This document is intended for developers, integrators and customers, to have a reference on the Engage and Neo devices screens along with other usability and the Media content details using SCA application.
Supported Devices
SCA application currently supports the following payment acceptance devices to deliver media content. Future revisions may support other Verifone payment acceptance devices.

Media Specifications
Merchants need to update the idle screen or welcome screen or line-item advertisement area content to highlight offers or promotions to the customers. Therefore, SCA application on the Engage and Neo device series supports customer branding media and image areas on the idle screen and the line-item display screens. SCA allows to have media added to the configuration bundle for its setup on the device. Merchants may create their own content for remote distribution to the devices. Following are the list enhancements currently added in the application.
- VHQ supports are added for the content downloads, through which the unsigned files of specific formats can be downloaded.
- SCA Engage is being enhanced to accept the content that comes from VHQ and apply to the different screens applicable.
- This feature will be configuration controlled and the animation mode is set as default on supported screens.
