Verifone Release Notes for April 2023

Enhanced the Pay By Link solution from Verifone Central with a new design and a new user flow to initiate payments with cards and Nordic APMs (Klarna, Vipps, MobilePay and Swish). We also updated the Virtual Terminal design and functionality by adding merchants the possibility to re-submit the Payment Form by clicking the Back to payment form button. Added a new Document subject field (optional) for Invoice4U (in Virtual Terminal, Pay by Link, Checkout API and Ecommerce API) where the merchant can specify a general description of the document (a maximum of 200 characters is allowed). Such subjects can be "Monthly subscription", "Invoice for services rendered", etc. When used, the "Subject" line is printed directly below the recipient's name and email address in the payment document. The Document subject field corresponds to the sales_description field from Checkout API.

Extended the existing functionality of Pay by Link, Virtual Terminal, Ecommerce API, and Checkout API with level II data needed for corporate/business cards (Visa, Mastercard, AMEX) for CP and CNP transactions by adding three new fields: purchase_order, tax_indicator, tax_amount.

Barclays (EMEA) now supports stored credentials charge for re-authorization (MIT) and Google Pay and Apple Pay wallets.

Chase US acquirer now supports unmatched refunds.

Landsbankinn (EMEA, Demo environment) now supports stored credentials and Google Pay and Apple Pay wallets.

When a payment via Virtual Terminal from Verifone Central fails, users can now go back one step to the Payment Form and re-enter their payment card details only, instead of starting a new transaction from the beginning. Read more here.

Improved Verifone Central receipts management by enabling the receipt history to be displayed, both online and in PDF format, for merchants based in Mexico. Read more in Transaction Data.

Adopted the Visa 8-digit BIN standard for ecommerce and instore payment solutions in Israel (ABS).

Enhanced the Generated Reports functionality by renaming the existing report types and adding the new "Custom scheduled report" type.

Improved the length of shipping and billing address details in Customer API.

Improved notifications/webhooks service so webhooks can have the same content event description as the e-mail notification one. Read more in Notifications. 

Improved the Report Scheduler functionality in Verifone Central to enable users to filter the content of their scheduled reports according to product. See more in Report Scheduler.

Enhanced the Transaction Reports page to enable users to filter transactions according to the serial number of the device/terminal that generated the transaction. See more in Transaction Filters.

 

 

Enhanced Generated Reports functionality by adding new filter options to Report types created in the Report Scheduler: APM-Daily Transaction Report, APM-Daily Transaction Report and Custom Scheduled Report. See more in Generated Reports.

Updated the description and type of tax_rate paramater from line_items (the array of items being purchased) on several endpoints in Ecommerce API.

Fixed a defect in Verifone Central that caused the "Allow unlinked refunds" checkbox to be missing for the Chase US acquirer on the PPC page.

Fixed a defect in Pay by Link from Verifone Central that caused an error while adding cart information.

Fixed a defect that caused preauthorization transaction amounts (in ISK) to be sent with decimals upon completion. 

Fixed a defect in Verifone Central that caused a "total_tax_amount is incorrect" error message when trying to create a payment link and transaction with Klarna APM.
