Authenticators

Last updated: 15-Apr-2022

The authenticator is the entity that stores the credentials for connecting to a service that provides 3-D Secure processing. An authenticator is stored in an organisation.

The authenticator allows the use of 3DS functionality decoupled from a card transaction. The authenticator ID is essential for identifying your integration during a 3-D Secure transaction.

To set up a 3-D Secure connection the authenticator shall be configured with 3-D Secure credentials. The configuration of the entity and parameters depend on the 3-D Secure service that is used.
